About Me
Hello, My name is Collins, and I am passionate about working alongside individuals seeking support with anxiety, depression, stress/trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and grief and loss. I have been working in the mental health field for over 12 years. So far I have come to appreciate the work I do, as I learn from my clients' resilience and inner strength to overcome the challenges and issues that come across their path. Together we will nurture resiliency, empowerment, wholeness, and well-being.
Life presents us with challenges that can interfere with health and wholeness. We each have the ability to approach and navigate these challenges, yet it is easier with support.
I practice from a client-centered approach. In a safe, caring environment we will collaborate to identify your needs, establish goals and choose from the many healing tools and modalities available. Together we will discover what best fosters self-understanding and resiliency.
My training and experience are in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Play Therapy, and various Mindfulness techniques that help move towards healing and personal growth. I also specialize in treating Trauma/PTSD, using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and various trauma-informed techniques. I value working alongside my clients to discover the approaches and styles that will work best for them.
